Rhythm Kids innovative approach
Children will be learning to play real drumming patterns from many places in the world, made accessible by first learning them through spoken rhymes with animal themes.

Designed specifically for pre-K and early elementary students, Rhythm Kids classes tap into how children this age are wired to learn, with music games, rhythmic stories and lots of high energy stomping-flying-climbing fun.
Students will compose, choreograph, and conduct using djembe drums, their voices and their bodies. They will have opportunities to lead their peers, solo and improvise. While learning to think and create like a musician, they’ll also build musical connections to the global community by learning rhythms inspired by musical traditions around the world, from West African Gahu, to Japanese Taiko, to Brazilian Samba.
Rhythm Kids helps children develop the facility, repertoire, mastery, and creativity to be confident students. The music and movement activities support growth in several key developmental areas and naturally motivate kids to focus and engage.
